• All ALPS guide frames feature S-6 (SS316 stainless steel) substrate material.
• All ALPS guides feature feet that are pre-ground then plated for easier wrapping & better corrosion resistance.
• Many ALPS models feature the exclusive RRD frame/ring design(see diagram to the right).
• ALPS guide frames go through a proprietary tumbling process to assure a smooth, flawless finish. This proprietary process alsoenhances the plating quality by improving the bond between the plating and the frame surface.
• All versions of S-6 (SS316 stainless steel) frames have passed the ASTM-B117 salt spray test for over 50 straight days (or 150 eight hour fishing trips) w/o any hint of corrosion due to saltwater exposure
• All ALPS guide rings are carefully ground on the outside edge for perfect concentricity which enhances ceramic ring to guide frame fit. This tighter fit between the ring and the frame makes the guides more durable, and provides a more even gluing surface that helps prevent rings popping out from the frame.
• All ALPS guide rings are carefully glued on each side of the frame with a proprietary bonding agent for superb adhesion of the guide ring to guide frame. Bottom line... your rings will not pop out of the guide frame.
